Tentang Diwan: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab

Diwan: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab merupakan jurnal akademik periodik yang diterbitkan oleh Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol Padang, tepatnya oleh Departemen Bahasa dan Sastra Arab, Fakultas Adab dan Humaniora. Jurnal ini dirancang khusus untuk memfasilitasi artikel-artikel ilmiah dalam bidang kajian bahasa dan sastra Arab. Sejak pertama kali terbit pada tahun 2009, jurnal ini telah menjadi wadah bagi para akademisi dan peneliti untuk mempublikasikan hasil kajian mereka. Sebagai jurnal periodik, Diwan diterbitkan dua kali dalam setiap tahunnya, yaitu pada bulan Juni dan Desember. Jurnal ini memiliki status submission yang terbuka, yang berarti penulis dapat mengirimkan naskah kapan saja sesuai dengan jadwal penerbitan. General Publication Policy a. All parties involved in the publication process — including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — are required to uphold the editorial policies of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, State Islamic University Imam Bonjol Padang. b. All manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment will undergo double-anonymous peer review conducted by at least two independent experts. The review process consists of three sequential stages: Step 1: Initial Screening The initial screening stage assesses the manuscript's compliance with the formal requirements set out in the Author Guidelines and the article template, using the Rubric for Initial Screening . At this stage, manuscripts will be rejected immediately if they do not meet the journal's criteria. The Managing Editor completes the initial screening within one week of submission. Authors are given a maximum of one week to complete revisions at this stage. Revisions that fail to meet the required criteria will be declined. Step 2: Internal Review The internal review stage assesses the substantive quality of the manuscript's major sections — Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion — against the standards set out in the Author Guidelines . General Manuscript Requirements Manuscripts submitted to Diwan: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Arab must comply with the following general requirements: a. Originality. The manuscript must present original research that has not been previously published and is not currently under review at any other journal or publication platform. b. Plagiarism. The manuscript must be free from plagiarism. Authors are required to use Turnitin to assess the similarity index before submission. The similarity index must not exceed 20%. Manuscripts found to exhibit plagiarism will be rejected immediately. c. Template. Authors must follow the Diwan article template, available for download in MS Word (.doc/ .docx) format from the journal website. d. Online Submission.
