Tentang Jurnal Geosains dan Remote Sensing (JGRS)

Jurnal Geosains dan Remote Sensing (JGRS) merupakan jurnal ilmiah berkala yang diterbitkan oleh Universitas Lampung, tepatnya oleh Jurusan Teknik Geofisika, Fakultas Teknik. Jurnal ini memiliki fokus pada bidang geosains, termasuk penginderaan jauh, dengan cakupan topik yang mencakup sumber daya alam dan mitigasi bencana. Artikel yang diterbitkan diutamakan berasal dari hasil penelitian original dan penelaahan ilmu pengetahuan baru. JGRS diterbitkan sebanyak dua edisi setiap tahun, yaitu pada bulan Mei dan November. Sebagai jurnal yang menerapkan standar publikasi ilmiah, setiap artikel yang diterbitkan dalam JGRS telah melalui proses blind review dan proses editorial. Jurnal ini memiliki status submission yang terbuka untuk para peneliti. Dalam hal biaya publikasi, JGRS memberikan kebijakan yang sangat mendukung penulis, yaitu dengan tidak mengenakan article processing charge (APC) atau APC gratis. Hal ini menunjukkan komitmen jurnal dalam memfasilitasi diseminasi ilmu pengetahuan tanpa beban finansial bagi penulis. Rekam jejak indeksasi dan kredibilitas Jurnal Geosains dan Remote Sensing (JGRS) dapat dilihat dari beberapa pencapaian penting. Jurnal ini telah terindeks di SINTA dengan peringkat S2, yang menandakan kualitas dan reputasinya di tingkat nasional. Selain itu, JGRS juga telah terindeks di Garuda, portal referensi jurnal ilmiah Indonesia. Meskipun belum terindeks di Scopus, keberadaannya di SINTA dan Garuda menjadi bukti kredibilitas yang signifikan dalam ekosistem publikasi ilmiah Indonesia. Jurnal ini menggunakan DOI dengan prefix https://doi.org/10.23960/jgrs untuk setiap artikelnya, yang memudahkan penelusuran dan sitasi. ISSN untuk edisi cetak adalah 2722-3647, sedangkan untuk edisi elektronik adalah 2722-3639. Hingga data terakhir, JGRS telah menerbitkan total 79 artikel yang telah mengumpulkan 888 sitasi, menunjukkan dampak dan kontribusinya dalam bidang keilmuan. Edisi terakhir yang tercatat adalah Vol 6 No 2 (2025): JGRS Edisi November. Secara keseluruhan, Jurnal Geosains dan Remote Sensing (JGRS) merupakan wadah publikasi yang kredibel dan terakreditasi untuk para peneliti di bidang geosains dan penginderaan jauh. Dengan penerbitan dua kali setahun, proses peer review yang ketat, serta kebijakan APC gratis, jurnal ini berperan aktif dalam memajukan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di Indonesia. Indeksasi di SINTA S2 dan Garuda semakin memperkuat posisinya sebagai jurnal ilmiah yang dapat diandalkan.

Fokus dan Ruang Lingkup

Jurnal Geosains dan Remote Sensing (JGRS) merupakan jurnal ilmiah berkala di bidang geosains termasuk penginderaan jauh yang diterbitkan oleh Jurusan Teknik Geofisika, Fakultas Teknik Universitas Lampung sebanyak 2 edisi yaitu setiap bulan Mei dan November dalam satu tahun. Acceptance of a manuscript depends on the novelty of the research, the article's significance, the content's correctness, the degree of originality, the clarity of the description, and its suitability for the journal's objective. Manuscripts can be accepted without revision, minor revision, or major revision. The Editorial Board will decide to accept the manuscript following the reviewers' critical comments.
