Tentang INDIGENOUS: JURNAL ILMIAH PSIKOLOGI
INDIGENOUS: Jurnal Ilmiah Psikologi merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, tepatnya oleh Fakultas Psikologi. Jurnal ini memiliki ISSN cetak 0854-2880 dan ISSN elektronik 2541-450X, dengan DOI prefix https://doi.org/10.23917/indigenous. Sebagai jurnal yang berstatus open access dan peer-reviewed, INDIGENOUS menjadi wadah bagi penelitian asli dalam bidang psikologi dan disiplin ilmu terkait lainnya. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun, yaitu sekitar bulan Maret, Juli, dan November, namun hanya tersedia dalam versi elektronik.
Fokus dan ruang lingkup jurnal ini adalah mengembangkan psikologi klinis, sosial, perkembangan, dan pendidikan, serta studi keagamaan yang diharapkan memberikan dampak positif bagi individu dan masyarakat. Secara spesifik, ruang lingkup riset yang diterima mencakup psikologi klinis positif dalam pengaturan komunitas dan budaya lokal, psikologi perkembangan dan pendidikan dalam masyarakat multikultural, psikologi pribumi dan lintas budaya, serta agama, spiritualitas, dan kesehatan mental. Jurnal ini bertujuan menjembatani psikologi, budaya, dan spiritualitas melalui penelitian berbasis pendekatan klinis komunitas, perkembangan multikultural, dan pengetahuan pribumi.
Jurnal ini mendorong penulisan artikel ilmiah asli yang solid dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, kuantitatif, atau kombinasi dari keduanya, serta artikel ulasan. Metodologi yang diterapkan dalam penelitian dapat berupa perspektif kuantitatif, kualitatif, metode campuran, dan tinjauan pustaka. Proses review dilakukan dengan metode double-blind peer review, di mana baik penulis maupun reviewer tidak mengetahui identitas satu sama lain untuk menjamin objektivitas.
Dalam hal publikasi, INDIGENOUS menerapkan article processing charge (APC) sebesar Rp1.500.000. Jurnal ini memiliki status submission yang terbuka untuk umum. Berdasarkan data yang tersedia, jurnal ini telah menerbitkan total 55 artikel yang telah mengumpulkan 4.039 sitasi. Jurnal ini terindeks di Garuda, namun belum terindeks di Scopus. Peringkat SINTA untuk jurnal ini adalah S2.

This journal is published three times a year around March, July, and November, by the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, and only available in electronic version. Both authors and reviewers will be given no access to identify of the reviewers (for authors) or authors (for reviewers). Articles will be assessed by reviewer(s) who have relevant expertise and field of research with manuscript The final decision (acceptance or rejection) will be determined by the editorial boards considering the results of reviews There are no correspondences between authors and editors regarding the manuscript rejection. Review results and reason for rejection will be informed to authors. Peer Review Process: The authors submit a manuscript. The editor in chief assigns a section editor to handle the manuscript. The section editor checks whether the manuscript fulfills the minimum criteria of the journal requirements in terms of the topic (suitable to the scope of the journal), word length, plagiarism, references, format, and language. If the minimum criteria are fulfilled, the section editor will assign a minimum of two relevant reviewers to review the article. The reviewers submit the report to the editor.
