Cylinder : Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Mesin merupakan jurnal akses terbuka yang diterbitkan oleh Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya. Jurnal ini berfokus pada publikasi artikel orisinal yang memuat hasil penelitian dan pengembangan di bidang rekayasa dan ilmu pengetahuan terapan. Secara spesifik, ruang lingkup keilmuan yang diterima mencakup berbagai topik seperti Energi Terbarukan & Termofluida, Material & Manufaktur, Mekatronika, Robotika, & Optoelektronika, Desain Mekanisme & Mekanik, Rekayasa Industri & Ergonomi, Rekayasa Otomotif, serta Rekayasa Lingkungan. Bidang keilmuan yang tercakup juga meliputi Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Energy, Engineering, Materials Science & Nanotechnology, dan Mechanical Engineering.
Sebagai jurnal yang menerapkan sistem peer review, Cylinder : Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Mesin berkomitmen untuk menjaga kualitas artikel yang diterbitkan melalui proses penelaahan ahli. Jurnal ini beroperasi dengan frekuensi penerbitan dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober. Status submission atau pengiriman naskah untuk jurnal ini saat ini dalam keadaan terbuka, sehingga para peneliti dapat mengirimkan karya tulis ilmiah mereka sesuai dengan pedoman yang berlaku.
Dalam hal indeksasi, jurnal ini telah terindeks di Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), yang merupakan portal referensi dan indeksasi publikasi ilmiah Indonesia. Meskipun demikian, berdasarkan data yang tersedia, jurnal ini belum terindeks di Scopus. Peringkat jurnal ini dalam sistem pemeringkatan SINTA adalah S5. The manuscript should be structured in the following sequence: title, author(s) name(s) and their entire affiliation(s), email(s), abstract, introduction, main body of the paper, acknowledgements, and references. The abstract must not surpass a word limit of 150 words. Equations All mathematical equations should be accurately printed or typed with clear and generally accepted notation. Superscripts and subscripts should be carefully positioned either above or below the baseline. Equation numbers should be presented as Arabic numerals enclosed in parentheses and aligned to the right margin.
